The Supra / Kidde J5 Over-The-Door KeySafe™ is designed for non-invasive installation: its special attachment hangs over the door frame and stays in place once the door is closed. It provides a practical way to control access without drilling, making it suitable for rentals, apartments, offices and temporary access needs.

Access is controlled by a resettable mechanical 4-digit push-button code (no batteries). The zinc-alloy housing and stainless-steel bracket provide a compact, durable build. It can store keys or access cards depending on size, with a typical capacity up to five items.

The Supra / Kidde J5 is designed for non-invasive installation: hang the special bracket over the door frame and confirm the door closes cleanly. Once closed, the unit stays firmly in place. This makes it ideal for rentals and managed buildings where drilling is not an option.

Real security comes from code discipline. Use a non-obvious code, keep it private, and change it whenever authorised users change. Because the J5 is fully mechanical, there are no batteries to manage, so regular code rotation is your primary access-control tool.

After any code update, test the sequence several times (open, close, open). This simple routine prevents user error and ensures reliable access for authorised people.
