A portable key safe like the MLK5408E is designed for short-term, on-the-go security. Instead of mounting it to a wall, you attach it to a fixed point using the steel cable (bike frame, railing, fence, gate, sturdy handle) and store a key or small valuables while you are busy.

Because it uses a 3-digit mechanical combination, there are no batteries and no keys to manage. The foam-lined interior helps protect contents from knocks and scratches.
